Russia has launched a massive aerial assault on Ukraine, involving 367 drones and missiles targeting multiple cities, including Kyiv. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that at least 12 people have been killed, including three children, and over 60 others injured.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for increased international sanctions against Russia, criticizing the global community's muted response to the ongoing aggression. He emphasized that without stronger pressure, Russia is likely to continue its attacks.

In response to the assault, Ukraine's air defenses have been active, reportedly intercepting 266 drones and 45 missiles. Despite these efforts, significant damage has been inflicted on civilian infrastructure across various regions.

This escalation coincides with ongoing prisoner exchanges between Ukraine and Russia, where approximately 1,000 troops from each side are being swapped. The continuation of such attacks amidst these exchanges raises concerns about the potential for further escalation in the conflict.
