Israeli and US forces have carried out coordinated airstrikes on Houthi-controlled targets in Yemen, including Sanaa International Airport.

Recent reports confirm that Israeli and U.S. forces conducted coordinated airstrikes on Houthi-controlled targets in Yemen, including Sana'a International Airport, in retaliation for a missile attack on Israel's Ben Gurion Airport.

On May 4, 2025, Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels launched a ballistic missile that struck near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, injuring eight people and causing temporary flight suspensions. The missile evaded Israeli and U.S. missile defense systems, marking the first time a Houthi missile landed so close to Israel's main airport .

In response, Israeli warplanes, with U.S. coordination, launched airstrikes on May 5 and 6 targeting Houthi infrastructure in Yemen. The strikes disabled Sana'a International Airport and severely damaged the strategic Red Sea port of Hodeidah, a key supply route for Iranian support to the Houthis . Additional targets included power facilities and a concrete plant used for tunnel construction.

These developments have escalated regional tensions, with the Houthis threatening further attacks on Israeli airports and international airlines suspending flights to Israel
